Hurling the Silver Ball. St Columb, Cornwall, England 1974. <br />

Played annually on Shrove Tuesday. At St Columb hurling is played by two teams comprising of of Townsmen and Countrymen.<br />
<br />
After the game, that evening, the silver ball is placed in a jug of ale by David Juszczak. Silver beer is provided in all the pubs in the village and is on the house.
