BAAL FIRE KIT HILL CALLINGTON CORNWALL

Tansys Golowan or Baal Fire, St Johns Eve June 23rd Kit Hill Callington, Cornwall 1973. Two Cornish Bards, Mr and Mrs Eel both poet members of the Old Cornish Society (?) they recited poems before the bonfire was lit. The Lady of the Flowers will cast her bouquet of 'Sweet and bitter herbs' into the flames to encourage the good and burn the bad. Across Cornwall, Tansys Golowan is celebrated by lighting bonfires on hilltops.
