HIGHHAM KENT VILLAGE SIGN BILL SYKES UK
Higham, Kent, England 9th August 2011. Higham village sign, Bill Sikes or Sykes with his loyal companion a 'bull-terrier' dog Bull's-eye. Sikes was a fictional character from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Dickens lived in Gads Hill Place House in the village where he spent his last days. Gads Hill Place House is now an independant school.
