Nottingham Goose Fair, Ray Brooks makes Cock on a Stick traditional sweets
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England 5th October 2017. Ray Brooks Nottingham Goose Fair. He makes the hand made Cocks on Sticks sweets that are traditional to the Goose Fair. Whiteheads of Nottingham Ltd, founded by Rays grandfather started the tradition in the 1890s. Whiteheads went into liquidation many years ago and Ray kept the tradition going. They sell for £1.50 and £2.00, depending on size.
