English wine Somerset. Wells Cathedral grape pickers using the traditional grape pickers knife that that North Wootton vineyard uses as its advertising motif. Carved into ancient stone column this shows that grapes were grown in and around south west Britain during the 10th century. Building began in 1175 AD. <br />
