Fownhope Heart of Oak Society Herefordshire 2018. Club Walk Day. Established as a Friendly Society in 1876 and reformed in 1989 when the law was changed regarding Friendly Societies.<br /> <br /> Mike Andrews (President with chain saw, he had been a member for over 50 years and Geoff Hardwick. An oak bough is cut at dawn on Club Walk Day, trimmed and decorated with red, white and blue ribbons and then transported to Mike's home in the centre of Fownhope.
