FREDDIE LAKER SKYTRAIN INAUGURAL FLIGHT 1970S GATWICK AIRPORT

Freddie Laker launched Skytrain, the inaugural flight took place amongst much hype on 26th September 1977. This was a no frills low fare, budget daily service between London Gatwick and JFK in New York. Ann Campbell  was the first paying customer Freddie Laker trying to get the till to work.
