GRUNWICK STRIKE LONDON 1977 1970s UK

Grunwick strike and industrial dispute.  Willesden, London, England circa 1977. Mrs Jayaben Desai leader of the south Asian women strikers in discussion with Labour MP John Faithful Fortescue Platts-Mills. Standing next to Mrs Desai is Bob Doyle (wearing hat)  As an Irishman he joined the IRA and served in the British Battalion of the International Brigades in the Spanish Civil War.
