HOT CROSS BUNS ESSEX

Horndon on the Hill, Essex. The Bell Inn, Hot Cross buns hang from the rafters of this 15century pubic house. A new one is added each Easter Good Friday. The custom was started 110 years ago. Hot Cross buns are prepared by chef and distributed by his two children amongst Good Friday drinkers.<br />
