1970s Tynwald is the Manx Parliament. Tynwald Day
St Johns, Isle of Man, 5th July 1978. Tynwald is the Manx Parliament. On Tynwald Day which is the National Day of the Isle of Man, the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Warburton Paul in long wig, leaves Tynwald Hill after the open air Ceremony of Reading the Laws and makes his way to The Parish Church of St John the Baptist, The Royal Chapel of Tynwald Hill where parliament will sit and he will sign in recently passed laws.
