1980s James Johnson Great Tew estate Oxfordshire
James Johnson, land agent for Major Eustace Robb who inherited the Great Tew estate in 1962. Used as the cover for the Sunday Times magazine, an article about the decay of an estate and village. James Johnson would not do an interview and I was dispatched to cover the story and get a picture. Photograph taken at a public meeting in the village hall. As it so happens despite what the ST thought, the estate under James Johnson and now his son, (I have recently been back) has gone from strength to strength.
