KENT COAL MINERS 1970S AND 2010S

Bettshanger, Kent, England 20th June 2012. Housing in the 'pit village' where many coal miners used to live and work in the Snowdown Collery.  Snowdown was the deepest and hottest colliery in the entire Kent coalfield and was known as Dante’s Inferno, it finally closed down in 1987.
