KENT COAL MINERS 1970S AND 2010S

Snowdown, Kent, England circa December 1976.<br />
Snowdown Colliery, a coal miner has come off a shift, and having a smoke. He's in the locker room of the pithead baths. There were two sides the clean and dirty side, a miner had a locker in each, and on the dirty side he hung his 'pit black' working clothes. Snowdown was the deepest and hottest colliery in the entire Kent coalfield and was known as Dante’s Inferno, it finally closed down in 1987
