KENT COAL MINERS 1970S AND 2010S

Snowdown, Kent, England circa December 1976.  Snowdown Colliery, two coal miners take a shower after a shift underground at the coal face.  Snowdown was the deepest and hottest colliery in the entire Kent coalfield and was known as Dante’s Inferno, it finally closed down in 1987.
