MARK SMITH ROPE MAKER CHATHAM KENT

Chatham, Kent England 10th May 2013. Mark Smith is Ropier at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Mark is using two hundred year old machinery and seen here with 18 mm rope thats coming off 'cops' (bobbins) before being fed through the registration plates and then 'forming tubes' to become 2.25 inch diameter rope.
