Masham, North Yorkshire Ilton Druid Folly
Masham, North Yorkshire, England circa 1992. The Ilton Druid Folly, a miniature Stonehenge on Ilton Moor was created by William Danby the Squire of Swinton Hall in 1790 following his return from a tour of Europe. He had become intrigued with the Cult of Druidism and created in own Druidical temple by 1800. From the authors book Mysterious Britain.
