NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL RIOT LONDON 1970's ENGLAND

Notting Hill, London 1976. An injured police officer is helped to safety away from the riots by colleagues.  The Notting Hill Carnival started as a low key local Caribbean community event. By 1976 as many as 150,000 people were attending. Violence erupted and running skirmishes developed that led to a full scale riot. 1970s UK.
