SHROVE TUESDAY FOOTBALL COMPANY OF MARBLERS CORFE CASTLE

The annual meeting of the Company of Marblers and Stonecutters of the Isle of Purbeck. Corfe Castle, Dorset, England 1975. Shrove   Tuesday annual meeting prior to kicking of a football from the village to  Owre Quay three miles away, in order to preserve the old right of way along which the quarried stone was transported.
