St BARTHOLOMEWS HOSPITAL BUN RACE SANDWICH KENT

The Service of Light marks the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Sandwich. A candlelit procession from the Guildhall to the St Bartholomew’s Hospital, which is one of the oldest established hostels for travellers and pilgrims in Britain, dating back possibly to 1190.<br />

The service was taken by The Revd Canon Mark Roberts, Rector of Sandwich and Chaplain to the Mayor, Cllr Paul Graeme.
