THE VILLAGE PUB

The Village Pub. Lord Nelson, Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk. England. The publican Leslie Winter in his "ale house". Ale is served straight from casks tapped in the back room. On the day he banned smoking he half cleaned a picture of HMS Victory that hangs in the bar, one half shows the Victory gleaming while the other is a murky, yellowing brown a potent warning to addicts. (Painting on wall TR corner) 1990s 1991
