WILLIAM HUBBARD EASTER SATURDAY SERVICE 1970S MARKET HARBOROUGH

William Hubbard Easter Saturday, the local St Dionysius Church choir gather at the ruins of the ancient church of St Mary in Arden at Market Harborough, to remember former churchwarden William Hubbard and to carry out his last wishes by singing “Jesus Christ is Risen Today” at his graveside . He died in 1786 and the special service has been happening annually ever since.
