Personal Views 1850–1970. A British Council touring exhibition, 1972. I have recently found my vintage silver gelatine bromide 15x10.25 prints from this exhibition. It was a group show, the other photographers included were:- Sir Cecil Beaton, Ian Berry, Bill Brandt, George Davidson, Roger Fenton, Bert Hardy, Thurston Hopkins, David Hurn, Paul Martin, Tony Ray-Jones, George Roger, Sir Benjamin Stone, John Thomson and Patrick Ward. This exhibition I believe was the first ever presentation of British documentary photography covering the history of that genre. The catalogue measures 6x8.25 inches with an introduction by Bill Jay the photographic historian, author and photographer along with a complements slip signed by Claus Hemmings.
