Corby, Northamptonshire, England 3rd June 2022. Corby Pole Fair takes place in Corby Old Village once every twenty years. The Charter Fair was granted by Queen Elizabeth I in 1585. The Pole Fair starts by the reading of the Charter at the three entrances to the village by the vicar, the Rev Paul Frost who then is ‘chaired’ along with the Mayor, councillor Tafadzwa Chikoto and the villages oldest resident Mrs June Thompson in between.
