Wirksworth Derbyshire St Marys Church Clipping September 1973.
The congregation hold hands in a circle around the whole of the church. The word "clipping" is Anglo-Saxon in origin, and is derived from the word "clyp-pan", meaning "embrace" or "clasp" and thus is an expression of devotion.
