Salts Mill. Saltaire near Shipley, Bradford, West Yorkshire England 1981. The Managing Director of Salts Mill, the building was so large that he used to spend quite a lot of the day working on the factory floor rather than in his office. World Heritage Site Salts Mill named after Sir Titus Salt was closed down in 1986 after 133 years as a textile factory. Salts Mill the centre of the model industrial village built on the huge profits made out of alpaca fibre in the nineteenth century, it has been named a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
