Bodmin, Cornwall, England 6th January 2016. Bodmin Wassailers Old New Years Day.  The first recorded evidence of the Bodmin Wassailers is in the Will of the Town Clerk Nicholas Sprey who left in his Will dated 1624 16 shillings and 4 pence to provide an annual Wassailing Cup. The present Town Clerk Stephen Facer entertains the Bodmin Wassailers at his personal expense (£35-00) in the Mayors Parlor. Drinking a Toast to Nicholas Sprey.<br />

In 2016 the Wassailers raised £450 split between Bodmin Age Concern and Bodmin Hospital League of Friends.
