Bodmin Wassailers old New Years Day, 6th January 2016 Cornwall. The first recorded evidence of the Bodmin Wassailers is in the Will of the Town Clerk Nicholas Sprey who left in his Will dated 1624, 16 shillings and 4 pence to provide an annual Wassailing Cup. The present Town Clerk, Stephen Facer entertains the Bodmin Wassailers and various town hall dignitaries at his personal expense (£35-00) in the  Mayors Parlor.
